Bristol Airport Expansion

Bristol Airport Expansion

Bristol Airport is proposing an doubling of passenger numbers, more night flights, and even more parking spaces in their recent planning application to North Somerset District Council. An expanded Bristol Airport would be a disaster.

Nothing we have seen to date changes our position that this expansion will be damaging to the landscape and environment of North Somerset, and we believe that the economic case that is driving this expansion is seriously questionable.

Bristol airport’s planning application is for growth to 12 million passengers per annum, phase 1 of growth to 20 mppa.
